On May 8, 2026, the UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed visited Ankara and met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Following the visit, a phone call was held between the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) and Erdogan, during which they discussed regional developments.
