Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani (Sheikh Mohammad) visited Tehran on 27/8/2026 as part of Doha’s efforts to reduce regional tensions, restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and create conditions for renewed U.S.–Iranian dialogue.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammad met separately with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
