Bassim Mohammad Khudair was approved by the Iraqi parliament as Minister of Oil on 15/05/2026 in the government of Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, placing a long-serving oil official at the center of Iraq’s energy sector during a period of reform and investment outreach.
